Our TDOV Committment

This Trans Day of Visibility, Bi+ Georgia wants to affirm our commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for the trans members of our community. A significant percentage of Bi, Pan, and Queer people are trans, and like Bi+ issues, the struggles that transgender people face are often out of sight.

Today we commit to not being silent, to making sure we include and uplift trans voices, so that even if we can’t always be visible as individuals, we are visible as a community. Being visibly trans is not always easy or simple, and there is no shame in not being out. Whether you are out or not, or whether you are still questioning, you are always welcome with us.

We’re always working towards making a more equitable space for trans people in our community, even as we have trans representation on our interim board, and we will continue to work towards that goal as we build. Think we can do better? We do too. Feel free to reach out to us with any thoughts you may have. We’d love to hear from you.
