Meet The Board

Matt.jpg

Chair of the Board - Matt

Matt (he/him) got his start in organizing in the political arena. He served as field director for a 2016 campaign for the Georgia House of Representatives, as well as serving on the board of the Young Democrats of Cobb County. Since then, he has served on the boards of the Young Democrats of Georgia's LGBTQ+ Caucus and the Cobb County Democratic Committee, in addition to running for the Georgia House of Representatives in 2018.

Matt's primary motivation for political involvement is rooted in his experience as a bisexual raised in the South, facing the stigmas and stereotypes associated with our community. Fighting for not just equality but equity for our community has been at the root of his involvement since day one.

Matt first got involved with Bi+ Georgia in 2019. He immediately fell in love with the community being built by this organization and has committed to its ongoing success. Matt hopes to leverage his leadership experience to help Bi+ Georgia navigate the next steps in its evolution as Georgia's leading organization for Bi+ humans.

In his personal life, Matt is blissfully engaged and has four kids. His family spans virtually the entirety of the LGBTQ+ community, and he hopes to build a more welcoming and inclusive Georgia for their sake.

Vice Chair - Dan

Dan Wilson (they/them) has been serving Bi+ Georgia since late 2018 as the unofficial lead organizer and now as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. Their first forray into bi+ community organizing was a Facebook group they started with some friends which eventually grew to over 200 members. They were in attendance at the first meeting of what would become Bi+ Georgia, which was to plan an event in Atlanta for Bi Visibility Day 2018. They eventually started leading the group in an unofficial capacity until the establishment of the Board of Directors in 2021.

Ms DC (she/they) is a Bisexual Leatherwoman living in Atlanta Georgia. Her passion for bondage education inspired her to teach classes for a plethora of conventions and events in the North American Continent. Currently she serves her local community as Ms. Atlanta Eagle 2019 & 2020 and is the head coordinator for Atlanta Hitchin' Bitches. She is a member of the House of the Primal Kind wearing white leather to symbolize her commitment to cultivate and protect future generations of the queer community. Ms DC has a career path as a Corporate Controller and volunteers her professional experience as the Bi+GA Treasurer.

Secretary - Isabelle

Isabelle first got involved with Bi+GA at our first ever public event for Bi Visibility Day 2018, and has been working behind the scenes as a Bi+ GA organizer ever since. The timing could not have been more perfect, coming right as Isabelle was searching for other Bi and Pan people to connect with, not just socially, but to come together to share and address the unique challenges we face. As an immigrant, Isabelle understands that staying connected with our community and the culture we collectively foster is not just a dream, it’s a necessity.

Having found that community in Bi+GA, Isabelle is committed to connecting Bi people across Georgia. By coming together we can create the community many of us have spent years searching for, and together have a louder, collective voice.
